Show Notes

You may have voted in the NATA presidential election in the past, but how much do you know about the process?
What happens before the candidates are placed on a ballot in front of you?
And why are you not voting this year?

In this episode, series host Katie Scott, MS, ATC, talks with NATA President-Elect A.J. Duffy III, MS, ATC, PT, and Tim “Westy” Weston MEd, ATC, to discuss the uniqueness of this year’s election and what you can do to make sure your voice is heard during what would have normally been a campaign year.

Tune in to learn more about NATA’s president-elect, what it takes to declare candidacy for NATA president and what you can do if you hope to make it to this position someday. You might even learn something about A.J.’s favorite pizza toppings – and the truth may shock you!

“DedicATed” is a series in which we visit with ATs who have a passion for the profession. Whether it’s someone in a leadership role, an AT who is making strides in research or a member who is bringing increased awareness of the profession by working in an emerged setting – “DedicATed” highlights their stories and path as they advance athletic training.
